Year 1 Post Approval Induction

The topics build upon the CWDC ‘Training, Support and Development Standards’. This course is delivered in a variety of ways, to suit the needs of our foster carers, including workshops and also our partnership with AKAMAS, providing the opportunity for 'online' training and is contributed to by Supervising Social Workers, via direct observation and witness testimonies.

Foster carers are furnished with portfolios and workbooks and undertake in session activities that form direct evidence to fulfil the competences guided by the standards.

Supervisory Social Workers are supported (induction presentation, workbooks, offer of assessor training and ongoing coaching) to help foster carers in compiling their portfolio of evidence.
