Once your application to become a foster carer has been accepted by Chrysalis Care, you are assigned an Independent Assessor, who is a qualified social worker. They will meet with you regularly and will document everything in a report, commonly known as a ‘Form F’. This report is later presented to a panel, who decides upon your approval to foster children and young people.
As much as this process is in-depth and may be outside of your comfort zone, initially, it can also be a fantastic opportunity for self development and growth and serves as a wonderful foundation for being a foster parent.
